LETTERS TO THE EDITOR Its the wokeness stupid
OPINION:
At last there is a voice of common sense coming from the left, as Democratic political consultant James Carville â€" husband of Republican political consultant Mary Matalin â€" recently commented that wokeness is a national problem for Democrats (“The Democratic Party’s image weakens,†Web, Nov. 4). And Carville is humorously correct in saying that the Democratic party needs a woke detox center. Unfortunately, those like “AOC,†who are deeply invested in woke culture, cannot see that it is a genuine deterrent to voters.
But just wait until Democrats lose more ground in upcoming elections, especially the 2022 midterms. Perhaps that will be the jolt AOC, “The Squad†and others need to awaken them.
